Changelog
0.3.0
Some background info:
Version 0.3.0 is more or less a complete rewrite. The script is functionally
the same as previous versions, no breakthroughs have been achieved
since version 0.2.5. Just big internal codebase improvements which have been
bothering me for a while.
* Changed the save format: `car_saved.xml` and `car_preset.xml` are not supported
in 0.3. Instead, the Config folder contains settings per vehicle.
Your old configurations _will_ have to be made again.
* Added modification-based adjustments: tuning parts can be specified to
change suspension geometry, for example: Increase track width on body kits.
This stacks with the base/existing configuration.
Values for modifications have to be modified in the vehicles' .ini file.
Re-opening the menu reloads files, to load changes.
* Added support for NPC vehicles: The script always updates all vehicles
in the game world in 0.3.
v0.2.5
* Fix rim radius not saved
* Automatically disable things vehicles that break (lowriders and flying stuff)
0.2.4
* Fix menu opening causing character selection and recording issues
0.2.3
* Update code for b1604. It's crappy but it seems to work.
* Add a toggle for height tuning. Disable this if you're doing cars with transforming wheels or hydraulics and aren't touching height anyway. (Other stuff->Height tuning)
0.2.2
* Fix offsets for b1290
0.2.1
* Fix auto-apply for wheel size
* Add a warning to the menu for old game versions
0.2.0
Config changes: Add option to open menu with the cheat "vstancer". Can be changed in settings_menu.ini
Saved presets now include wheel size parameters.
* Add wheel size options Виж темата във форума на GTA5-Mods.com »

would it be possible to recreate a more simple version in Lua? im brand new to scripting so i dont know but i want to try it out
the tiny/slim wheels were driving me mad on some wehicles, this solved my OCD
doesnt seem to save on rockstar editor for me
@ikt “ * Added support for NPC vehicles: The script always updates all vehicles”
I’d call that a breakthrough lol
@V3ry_H1GH
There are still some fundamental problems with the suspension handling/patching code - I'm amazed that the assembly botch job from 2017 still works for today, but it's not ideal and damage is not transferred, and at extreme angles/heights/offsets the physics still go haywire.
Also physical/visual sizes are still decoupled.
Maybe someone will find a way to fix those, but at this point I doubt it.
I save my vehicle from the "Save Setting" section, but it does not appear in the saves or folders.
I save my vehicle from the "Save Setting" section, but it does not appear in the saves or folders. @ikt
@El-CaminoSS
"Manage configurations" -> "Create configuration" and follow the instructions.
0.3.0 saves things automatically once there is a vehicle configuration.
@ikt I'm doing exactly what you said. When I say "Create configuration", it asks me 2 times with which name I want to save it. I write a name and say "save". It doesn't save the settings, it doesn't give any errors either.
@ikt Been waiting for this update since you released this mod, just awsome!
One problem though, lowrider vehicles are broken now.
With this new version my bmw m3kean has stanced wheels in the model and worked before but now the wheels are wrong not stanced looks weird.
@El-CaminoSS
No, it once asks for the name for the configuration, and then you need to enter "1" or "2" for either make the configuration apply for all vehicles of that model, or to make it only apply to the specific model + license plate combination.
@unforgetabelz
Lowriders (should) have been broken forever. Or were they filtered out properly in older versions?
@ikt why doesnt the wheel actually visually change shape when going into the wheel options what is the point of that section? I dont see the wheels changing at all for any of those options
@V3ry_H1GH
Visual and physical sizes both need to be changed independently.
@ikt wow. I never paid attention to the article in that corner, my friend. Thank you for your help. You made a very good mod. When the jumping wheels problem is solved, it could be one of the best mods on this site!
@ikt On version 0.2.5 the lowriders were filtered properly
"v0.2.5
* Fix rim radius not saved
* Automatically disable things vehicles that break (lowriders and flying stuff)"
So the hydraulics worked as intended, on this update they are broken
@unforgetabelz
0.3.0 should filter them out exactly the same way as 0.2.5, but I'll check.
Checked, it works fine. Vehicles with hydraulics don't get any options, as intended.
@ikt Following from @unforgetabelz comment, he is somewhat correct. Whilst the intended function of stopping the menu being accessible for lowriders has been retained, lowrider performance is severely stunted. This also affects the vehicles with the airride flag. The bug that caused suspension on vehicles that lowered when stopped has been removed, but these cars no longer lower. This appears to be related to the issue named that causes the lowrider cars to both have a lower ride height generally (some of the lowest cars even have the wheels clip through the hood), the strength/range of the lowrider springs is reduced. Happy to have another chat on discord about it if you want.
Beyond that, the new layout is a bit nicer to work with, and the new, individually saved .ini files are much easier to manage, and the instant change is much more immersive than before. Yet to try the settings change with modifications but keen to try that out at some point.
@ItsJustCurtis
Damn, that could be the patch thing. It was unloaded when a lowrider vehicle was detected, but that won't work with the script now processing all world vehicles.
