Does anyone know of any GTA RP servers which use this mod? I don't know much about it or even if that's how it works, but I'm really interested in driving other players around. I know of a server called Transport Tycoon but I'm not sure if I'm eligible to get into that.
Aww...... still no Hagrid. Hagrid for Elyse?
@irt My apologizes. As it turns out there were two separate mods I also use which were both preventing my controllers from combining and causing XBOXCE to not work. The Enhanced Native Trainer mod, and the new Vorpx-less VR mod, not the Manuel Transmission mod. Having used ENT for so long and the old Vorpx VR mod which DID work with Xboxce, I assumed I already knew they were fine to use with XBOXCE, but I was wrong. I thought I had ruled out each of them out to being the cause, but I only turned them off separately. Not together. So when one was turned off, the other would prevent controller combining. I never turned Manuel Transmission off at the same time as both of those to see that it was not the cause.
@ikt So I guess there's nothing in the .ini's I can edit to simply make air vehicles use GTA V's vanilla controls. Drat. I absolutely love being able to switch into reverse gear with my wheel, shifting into it, not having to press my brake petal to reverse with this mod. I love how the controls auto switch between wheel, controller, and keyboard, but if I can't jump into a plane or copter on the fly without having to restart the game and uncheck this mod in my mod manager it's not worth using for me. Too much is lost, not enough gained. I used to use a "Brake without reverse" mod I found a while back which prevents reverse upon hitting the brake, but is doesn't include a function to change the right petal to reverse throttle and then back to first gear again.
@ikt Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to make sure I couldn't just fix the issue myself before responding back, but I've run out of ideas of ways to get it to work.
@ikt I see. I didn't know the shifting was considered buttons presses since a shifter is a stick, which you can move up and down similar to a flightstick. I understand now if that's not possible ala Eurotruck Sim where you can press the stick up to shift into reverse and down twice to shift back into drive. I guess I'll just have to settle with using the D pad on top of the stick for shifting since I don't own and actual shifter.
Forgive me, I should have been more clear about my "main" issue. It's not that the stick isn't read by the Manuel Transmission mod, it senses it as a controller fine to do various button presses of car controls. Treats it just like a regular gamepad, I just don't understand how I'm suppose to control planes and heli's with it while using the MT mod. Even when I toggle the MT mod off I still get no flight controls using the flightstick, it's as if all button presses are disabled if I enter a Helicopter. Every time I get into a plane or heli I get no controls working at all using the stick although flight controls works fine in them if I switch to Gamepad and Keyboard. I've tried it both with and without Xboxce with the same result but the active input doesn't change to controller if I press the throttle on the stick.I assumed the mod would just treat the flightstick as a regular gamepad since the description of the mod reads "multiple input devices".
Sweet. My mom had a 1979 Cutlass Supreme I rode in a lot as a kid as this is about as close as any car's gotten to that so far!
Hello. After googling all day I can't find a solution. I've recently received a new Thrustmaster wheel for Christmas and I want to use my Logitech Extreme 3D PRO up down axis as a gear shift with it but for some reason when try to map the axis in the menu's controller binds they aren't being picked up. Also happens if I try to bind any other button on the flight stick. I've tried it with and without XBOXC, Tired it with both XInput box checked and unchecked. Why would the mod not recognize it as a controller? I've used to flight stick in GTA any times in the past.
Just wait to start MSI after you launch the Mod Manager, if that's what's causing the problem as it was for me.. :)
@Xane MSI Afterburner started making it not open for me. Also disabling Virtual Audio Cables stopped my game from crashing which didn't start happening until after Rockstar Games Laungher was installed.
