Not perfect, when changing gears in low rpms, it just drop rpms cant no longer drive gotta stay in higher rpms to continure drive.....it has potential, if you fix that i can say that we have a complete manual transmission mod

@UnstoppableTJ That’s a general issue with gta…. I have been unable to fix that. A possible solution would be that the car just stalls when you shift in the wrong gear at the wrong time.

It turned out really well, but the analog stick gets in the way because it's used to look behind you. How do you change it to another button?

Although it has bugs for now, a large audience really needed a FREE gear shifting mod like this. I believe the bugs will be fixed. Thank you for proving that such a mod can be released for FREE <3

its good alternative for manual transmission by ikt, so It would be good if we could adjust the visuals for gear N, D1, and D2 on the screen like ı want to make it smaller and put gears on the left side of the screen

@LouiDev good mod, just some feedback:

When you're at high speed in a higher gear (e.g., 5th) and then slow down by releasing the gas or braking, the RPM drops. At that point, the car should realistically be in a lower gear (like 3rd), which makes sense. However, if you remain in 5th gear and press the gas again, the car currently does nothing, which feels unrealistic.

In real life, the car wouldn’t become completely unresponsive. You would get weak acceleration, some lugging or slight shaking, and in some cases the engine might stall (especially when pulling away in the wrong gear). It shouldn’t just ignore throttle input entirely, particularly when the car is still moving after slowing down.

Lastly, it’s totally up to you, but it would be great if you could share the source code. It would let others help improve it, keep it going if you ever stop working on it, or tweak it for their own needs. Of course, it’s your work and your call, and I respect that. This is just a personal preference, but I tend to prefer mods that can be modified or maintained by others if needed, rather than relying only on the original author.

The game's online mode racing mode also has a gear shift function, with shift sound and with speedometer, don't know if you can find the original effect to join this mod to achieve two mode switching
