Hello and thanks for looking into this page!
I never really liked the normal GTA V weapon sounds. They sounded weak and destroyed some of the immersion. So all the cool sound mods are a pleasure to me. But I haven't found one sound mod yet, that makes it sound like in all the bodycam videos you can find on YouTube. So I decided to give a try. And I can say I'm very happy with the results.
I don't claim it to be the most realistic Glock 17 sound mod out there. I never heard one fire, but this mod gives me the best police feeling while playing GTA V.
So I hope you like it! :)

Because of all the people who don't seem to be able to read properly (and of course the normal people that just want a Combat Pistol replace):
I'm going to make a Combat Pistol sound as soon as I've got time for that. If you want it right now, you just have to replace both files :)
worst installation manual seen otherwise good
how do i install this cause i think it has changed
I've tried a lot of gun sounds and this is my favorite.
this is probably the most worst instalation plan ever i literally have a headache from trying to figure it out but other than that it works perfectly fine!!!!
when i shout it crashes my game
@modingnation123 Can you explain to me how you installed the glock sound, for me is crashing my game
I can only hear it in one ear and the other ear is the normal pistol sound, any help?
@Official General oooou you couldve just gone to the file location via your root folder not openiv and then copy that and paste it in openiv where its supposed to within mods folder
@zelixy that was 4 years ago bro, I was new to modding
@Official General damn
@TheGarry Bro, you the real hero here!
This mod is amazing and exactly what I was looking for. I know it is old, but I was wondering if you would be able to make a version for the Carbine Rifle so it is more realistic when I use both weapons on duty with the body cam. I already tried making one myself but failed miserably.
how can i replace this sound for combat pistol?
@TheGarry I love u
Does not work anymore. cant replace the sound
the sound does work for the weapons.rpf folder but there is no file named 0x0F4DFCD5.wav as above he when you export in open format
@NoCoN Read above for the fix. Rename it to PTL_PISTOL_SHOT.R for the wav file.
@Benzo Effect no need for the pistol awc just fine
I didn’t get the Glock 17 but I got the sound so it’s good
This mod is obviously outdated. The Instructions are absolutely dogsh.... Like bro couldve written the entire instructions in another language and we would not have been able to tell the difference. Trying to install this made me corrupt all the gun sounds 0/10
