This is my very first conversion ever to GTA V and I am proud to bring you a true arcade classic.
"The 1999 Ford Mustang Police Car has what it takes to get rough and personal with the most wily opponents."
Straight out of Midtown Madness 1, this mod includes two versions:
The handling was carefully tuned to replicate the original MM1 driving style
Fast turning, responsive steering, and a kart like arcade feel just like you remember

Police Version - with working lights and sirens, ready for high speed pursuits
Civilian Version - clean, aggressive muscle car for street cruising
The handling was carefully tuned to replicate the original MM1 driving style
Fast turning, responsive steering, and a kart like arcade feel just like you remember
Installation
- Add the mod folder to your dlcpacks directory
- Edit your dlclist.xml and add the following line
- dlcpacks:/midtownmadness/
- Spawn the vehicles in game using a trainer
Police version: vpcop
Civilian version: vpmustang

- This is my first ever mod and I would love your feedback
Notes
- Handling mimics the MM1 style with quick steering and arcade style driving
- Lights and sirens are fully functional with MM1 style sound effects

@MidtownM Considering you seem to have done a good job on the conversion and the low poly count is simply due to Midtown Madness's age, I've gone ahead and approved this. We generally want to avoid hosting Emergency Vehicles here so I've rearranged the screenshots so that the civilian car is the main focus. Please do convert the rest of the Midtown Madness cars!
@InfamousSabre Thank you so much for the approval and for taking the time to explain everything. I really appreciate the support. I'm happy the nostalgic vibe came across and that the low poly style is understood as part of the original game's charm.
Thanks also for adjusting the screenshots, I get the approach about emergency vehicles. I'll definitely keep going and bring more cars from Midtown Madness into GTA V. This project means a lot to me and I'm excited to continue it.
