@shenaniganizer Right now I have ScripthookVDotNet.dll and ScripthookVDotNet.asi in my GTA V folder. Does "ScriptHookVnotNet.dll.metagen" also need to be copied to the main GTAV folder?
@whitehot1 Thanks very much for your help. I just solved the issue. Believe it or not, I was forgetting to extract the files before dragging and dropping them. Once I did that, no more problems. Thanks again whitehot1.
OpenIV 2.6.3 states that all mods should be placed in the "mods" folder. But what about mods that were originally supposed to be in GTAV's main folder (next to GTAV.exe) like: Open all Interiors, Scripthook, Slow Motion Toggle, Nice Fly, Railroad Engineer, PoliceMod, Riot Mode? The creators of all these mods still say to place them in the main GTAV folder. Should these now be placed all in the "mods" folder???
Thanks very much for your help Vreem5. In my case, I was finally able to resolve the issue by extracting the files before dragging and dropping. Once I hit Extract, no more problems in replacing the files. But thank you again for pointing that out, it's good to know!
Exact same problem. OPenIV 2.6.3 isn't letting me replace anything. I can't understand why on OpenIV's page this issue isn't being addressed. All they say is to turn on Edit Mode, but it's on and still won't let us replace files..
@Shaunr I can remove GTAV's original 4 weapons files from the ai folder to the desktop and put them back. But OpenIV 2.6.3 isn't letting me replace any original GTAV files with modded ones, despite Edit Mode being activated.
I also tried that, but I still get this symbol 🚫 every time. I also verified that my LUA setting is "0" in Windows Regedit. I can't understand why Open IV is not allowing me to replace the files.

But I'm unable to replace any of the weapons files in my GTA5 ai sub-folder.I have the latest version of OpenIV (2.6.3), but it's not allowing me to replace files even though Edit Mode is on. I keep getting this window: "OpenIV Error - unable to replace file" ANy help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
Why won't OpenIV 2.6.3 let me replace any files??? For example if I wish to place Shaunr's weapons mods, OpenIV won't let me replace the loadouts, vehicleslayouts, weapons, or weaponanimations files even though Edit Mode is on. Has anyone else enoucntered this? It's really frsutrating, I tried re-installing GTA V completely and OpenIV as well, latest version. Impossible to replace any files. Any help would be much appreciated.
