@BulletRHLI This mod doesn't rely on openiv. Do you have any other asi - mods? Did you install scripthook? If not, www.bit.ly/38hYFgW
@NicoOnline5 I'll look into it if I find a working openiv package builder, as dlc cars have their sounds in seperate rpf archives
@NicoOnline5 any suggestions for an update? It seems working as intended as is
@smallbutdeadly @ultimo Idk then, Ask @FattyJoeMan to fix it, I'm not affiliated with that mod.
Manually editing each fbrakeForce line is the only other option then. I'm definitely not interested in doing that. I'm also not interested in writing a new Handling editor as we have countless(!) working options for in-game and out of game editing.
I've already tried writing an in-game all-vehicles handling editor/modifier, but it will have too many drawbacks, the main ones being:
-Highly likely impossible to edit per-vehicle with other handling editors or will heavily conflict with them.
-Handling changes will affect AI, too. Modifying all vehicles brakes or grip 2x for all vehicles will make ai behave at least unrealistic if not erratic.
-The need to keep the original handling.meta completely in memory or in mod files, to prevent a runaway multiplication( FbrakeForce=2 will get 4, but how will the mod tell if that's the original handling or already modified? Scripts don't have access to game files, only to the memory.) That *might* not be too taxing on the game, but it's a major pain to develop such a database that will work flawless from scratch, as you already saw with the handling editor.
-During my testing, reading and writing the same handling value will give slightly different results
-Not all vehicles will benefit from a simple modifier.
So is it worth doing such a big project, when most people won't understand the technical limitations and won't be satisfied with it? Especially while there are alternatives? I don't know, maybe you can convince me to give it another try.
@GIAN_97 that would be an enormous download. But I could make a tutorial how to do it yourself
@RIP_TIDE @ikt Hey, @inter_gta added a video, big thanks to him for that!
@Ayushgta5 did you put the file into mods folder? If so, just delete it.
@inter_gta any suggestions on louder/quiter, eq, sound balance, etc?
@Remix only the engines for now.
@ReNNie oh, thanks, didn't catch that
