Regarding the zombies attacking other peds: I have great news! I am currently finishing a companion mod called 'The Remnants'. It introduces a Dynamic Faction System (Survivors, Raiders, and Military) that fully interacts with InfectionX. With both mods combined, you will see massive three-way battles between humans, the law/military, and the undead.
Customization options and a 24/7 apocalypse mode are also high on my priority list for the next updates. Stay tuned, more chaos is coming soon!

@Herobrine7707 Hello Thank you for your feedback! Version 4.0.2 focuses on the core AI aggression and spawn stability. However, I hear you loud and clear! A 24/7 Apocalypse Mode is definitely planned for a future update. I'm working on making the mod as customizable as possible to give you the best experience. Stay tuned!

In the next step, I’ll add a config file so you can place the radiation zones precisely over the Pripyat map markers. Thanks for the suggestion!"
