🚗 Dead Driver Stop 🚗
About:
A lightweight script that makes vehicles with dead drivers come to a smooth, realistic stop instead of continuing to roll.
Designed for immersion — no more runaway cars
Features:
- Vehicles driven by dead NPCs gradually slow down and stop
- Smooth deceleration system (no instant speed snapping)
- Configurable stop speed, radius, and update interval
- Works dynamically on nearby NPC traffic
- Lightweight and performance-friendly
- Fully customizable via DeadDriverStop.ini
Requirements:
- GTAV Legacy
- Script Hook V
- Script Hook V .NET (🔸Nightly Build🔸)
Using outdated versions of SHVDN may cause crashes. Use latest versions!
Installation:
Make sure to delete older versions before installing.
Drop the files from the "files folder" into your scripts folder.
If you don’t have a `scripts` folder, just create one in the root GTA V directory.
To uninstall, remove the `.dll` & `.ini` from the scripts folder.
To disable temporarily, move the file out of the folder.
Configuration:
Edit DeadDriverStop.ini:
- StopSpeed – Speed threshold where braking starts
- SearchRadius – Distance to detect nearby NPCs
- UpdateInterval – How often the script updates (lower = smoother)
Known Bugs:
No bugs yet. If you find any, report in the comments.
If something breaks, reload scripts or restart the game.
Changelog:
- v1.0 - Initial release
