@THEAETIK Yeah, every time I tried to uncheck that box, the next time I open the properties the option was back as being checked. So it did nothing at all.
I followed a guide from the Microsoft website:
Right-click the folder, then select Properties.
"Go to Security tab, then click Advanced.
Click Change to the right of Owner.
Enter Users into the box, then click OK.
Enable the checkbox Replace owner on sub containers and objects, then click Apply.
If prompted that You do not have permissions to read, click Yes.
Completely close out of the Advanced Security Settings dialog.
Repeat step 1.
Go to Security tab, then click Edit.
Select Add.
Enter Users into the box and click OK.
Enable the Full Control checkbox, then click OK."
That worked perfectly for me, was way more work than it should be to remove the read only setting, but it did work and was honestly worth it for the mod.
Hey THAETIC - just wanted to let you know I solved my issue of it loading assets but never loading the game.
Turns out that, for some reason, my Rockstar Games folder was set to 'Read-Only' (no idea why). Looked up a way to remove that (as the normal methods didn't work for me) and now the game runs flawlessly!
Hopefully the other people having the same issue as me can fix it the same way too.
The mod is amazing by the way, well worth the wait!
I click F10 and it preloads the assets then says Complex Control but nothing happens. I see that in the description that means I may not have all the online updates, but I can access online just fine and a google search shows me no way of installing online updates.
